Symptoms and Preventions of Digital Eye Strain

If you are working as a freelancer, you must be working for longer hours, if you are working for longer hours on computer, you may be having problem in your eyes, and the problem may be eye strain as well. You may also be experiencing other problems such as back aches, eyes feel gritty etc. It may be creating difficulties while proof-reading as well, because in proof reading you have to see carefully to provide good accuracy. In medical language, we can call it digital eye strain, the amazing thing is many people have these kinds of problems but they don’t know exactly. According to a survey conducted by the American Optometric Association, about 70% people in age group between 18 years to 30 years have dry eyes and sensitivity to light. The thing is you may have eye strain and it is not affecting the vision but it creates difficulties in working on computer.

Considering all these things and knowing all these symptoms, you should be aware of eye problems, when your eyes are dry, you should take a break, in break time, you can start dinner or you can do anything apart from your computer works. Some people take a break for only one or two minutes but it is not enough, you should take a break of at least half hour for better relaxation of your eyes. For me, half hour break works fine and I feel relaxed too.
