When we read online articles about two topics, we can often find them related with each other as a single unit of idea. Eye strain can be commonly recognized as fatigue of the eyes because of excessive use of visual catalysts like the computers.

According to definition of American Heritage Dictionary, it is pain and fatigue of the eyes, mostly associated with headache due to prolonged use of the eyes, uncorrected defects of vision, or an imbalance of the eye muscles. So we can say that eye strain is fatigue itself.
